Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, buying or using ClipFree, you agree to these Terms. ClipFree is provided by ClipFree. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
2. What ClipFree is
ClipFree is a desktop application that turns long-form videos into short clips with captions, hooks and sound effects. Core video processing happens locally on your computer. Processing speed depends on your computer hardware, GPU, video length, resolution, and selected processing options.
3. License and account
Using paid features requires a valid license key tied to the email used at purchase. You are responsible for keeping your license key private. Licenses are for your own use and may not be shared, resold or transferred unless we agree in writing.
4. Free trial
The free trial lets you process one video without a credit card. Trial limits are enforced by the app and may change.
5. Monthly subscription
ClipFree Pro costs $5 per month (plus any applicable taxes) and renews automatically each month until cancelled. It includes unlimited local processing.
6. Lifetime license and Founding 100 offer
The Lifetime license is a one-time payment of $49.99 (plus any applicable taxes) and gives lifetime access to ClipFree and its updates for as long as we continue to develop and distribute ClipFree. The Founding 100 offer is limited to the first 100 Lifetime customers and may end at any time once those licenses are sold.
7. Payments
Payments are processed by Creem, our Merchant of Record, which also handles sales taxes and invoices. By purchasing you also agree to Creem's terms.
8. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the link in your purchase receipt or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
9. Refunds
All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund or remedy is required by applicable law. See our Refund Policy.
10. License restrictions
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile or modify the software except where the law allows it.
- Do not bypass licensing, trial limits or other protections.
- Do not redistribute, sublicense or rent the software.
11. Acceptable use and your content
You are fully responsible for the videos you process and the clips you publish, including having the rights to use them. Do not use ClipFree to infringe others' rights or break the law. Because processing is local, we do not review or store your content.
12. Intellectual property
ClipFree, its software and branding belong to us or our licensors. You keep all rights to your own videos and the clips you create.
13. Third-party services
ClipFree may rely on third-party components or services (such as payment processing). Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for them.
14. Updates and availability
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. We aim to keep licensing and downloads available but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
15. Disclaimer
ClipFree is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including results, accuracy of captions, or processing speed on your hardware.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or loss of data or profits. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for ClipFree in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
17. Termination
We may suspend or end your license if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using ClipFree at any time.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
